ReplyDeleteI participated in the Pink Soles in Motion 5k run at Andy Brown on Saturday, September 1. This was a great opportunity for me to be active as well as raise money for families and patients with cancer. I enjoyed going on this run with my friends!
ReplyDeleteI participated in the Jail Break near Texas Motor Speedway. This race was literally the most fun run I have ever ran. It was 3 miles of mud and obstacles. My whole body was covered in mud by the end of the race. I advise every one to run one at least once.
ReplyDeleteI participated in the JDRF walk to cure diabetes this saturday. I really enjoyed being able to get to walk 3 miles for a good cause. It let me have my workout today but also helped raise awareness to my self by allowing me to learn more about diabetes. They did a great job with the set up of the walk which was in Plano. I also liked the fact that they had music for us as we walked. I really enjoyed getting able to participate in this walk.
ReplyDeleteI took part in the NAMI 5K with my mother at the beginning of the 6 weeks. The organization hosts the 5K every year to raise funds and awareness for mental health. My mom's a psych nurse, so it was really neat that we could participate in it and advocate for it at the same time.
